Homeowner Dwelling Coverage Explained

The dwelling coverage on your homeowner insurance policy estimates the replacement cost of the physical structure, or dwelling, of your home.  The dwelling coverage is not the market value of your home, as insurance companies do not insure dirt or the land that your home is built upon.  Now is a good time to look at your homeowner policy and determine if your dwelling coverage is enough and you are properly protected.
